The first Foundations have now been excavated.

The heavy frost has stopped the Bricklayer from constructing the sub-structures.

Snow Stops Play.

Unfortunatley due to the heavy snow and frosts this week (W/E 5th dec 2010),

There has been very little activity on site.

Can I please remind you to ask your children not to play on the site, there could be many hiden dangers under the snow.

The installation of a Stone quilt begin.

Now that all the soil nails are grouted and fixed in position, they are covered over with a decorative stone quilt. The quilt is there for aesthetics only.

This is the finished appearance which is very affective and pleasing to the eye.

Soil nailing is now completed.

The placing of six meter long steel rods into the excavated banking is now complete

Soil Nailing works commences.

The excavations work has left a 4.5 meter high 60° battered banking to the rear of the proposed dwellings.

The banking is to be retained by driving 5 meter long steel nails into the ground at 1 meter centres.

'X' marks the spot.

Once all the nails are in place they will be covered with a stone wall.

Excavations works completed to Phase 1

The reduced excavations works are now completed to phase 1 of the project.

There has been 487 truck loads removed from site on this phase alone.

The Heavy Plant moves in.

The Bulk Excavations works has now commenced, which involves the excavation and removal of 17,500 cubic meters of soil, this equates to in excess of 32,000 tonnes. The work is being carried out by our sub-contractor TKL Earthworks.

Wates are now working in partnership with South Yorkshire Police.

To combat a recent increase of incedents involving damage to the perimeter fencing,

wates are working in partnership with South Yorkshire police.

Regular patrols are now been carried out on evenings and weekends.

PCSO Brian Smith issues Site with unique Smart water.

The Smart Water spray has been placed inside all cabins, which will activate on illegal entry, covering intruders in the water which has a unique DNA to the site.

The site boundary Hording is now erected.

protect the public from the hazards of a construction site.
